Phenomena Exercise - Caffarella Valley, Rome

An observation made while walking through the Caffarella Valley. Coming from the wide openness of the park, the narrow valley path made me instinctively look up, the sky felt vast and close at the same time. I photographed the canopy overhead along the route, noticing how it shifted between dense enclosure and open sky. The final collage plays with this, canopy forms inverted and layered into an abstract image of what it felt like to move through that space.
