Therapeutic Landscape Corridor - Rome
MLA Project, Sapienza University of Rome

A continuous ecological corridor connecting Villa Pamphili and Tenuta di Acquafredda, stitching fragmented urban green spaces into a cohesive system of restorative public infrastructure. The project reframes landscape as a health resource, embedding well-being into everyday movement through the city.

The corridor is organized as a gradient of therapeutic environments, from spaces of social interaction and cultural exchange, through active wellness and community gardening zones, to quieter sensory retreats and areas of animal-assisted engagement. Streets are reimagined as landscape infrastructure, integrating multimodal movement, vegetated buffers, sensory planting, and rest zones into a low-impact, adaptable framework.

The result is a connected green network that improves walkability, restores ecological continuity, and makes restorative experience accessible across the city's everyday fabric.
