Via di San Gregorio - Linear Landscape Corridor
MLA Project, Sapienza University of Rome

A landscape strategy rethinking a major Roman street as an ecological and cultural corridor within a high-intensity historical context. The proposal rebalances infrastructural dominance through landscape-driven spatial restructuring, reducing vehicular pressure and expanding pedestrian and cycling networks in alignment with the broader GRAB cycle route.

Water-sensitive design, permeable ground systems, and vegetated infrastructure enhance climatic performance and hydrological resilience across the corridor. Operating simultaneously across mobility, ecology, and heritage, the project reinterprets the street as a performative landscape that reconnects archaeological context, environmental processes, and contemporary urban life.
